Studies of DNA hybridization on surfaces
Using PM-IRRAS we have observed DNA hybridization on
surfaces. The sequence of one of the complementary
strands of the 30-mer DNA is given below:
In order to model the spectra using DFT the G-C base
pair was also calculated. The calculated model is in
reasonable agreement with the experimental data.
Based on this approach we are examining specific
structures on surfaces. Structures using nanoparticles
are illustrated. These structures have been studied with
a range of other techniques as well.
